Five Minute Friday: Connected

It’s time again for Five Minute Friday, hosted by Lisa-Jo over at The Gypsy Mama! A time where we meet to “just write and not worry if it’s just right or not.” Five minutes of writing with no editing or backtracking! (That’s hard!)

This week’s prompt: Connected…

I spent this morning with a group of lovely women. Women desiring to live as God’s daughters and teach their children to do the same. When these women get together, they talk, they laugh, they cry, they pray – they connect

Connect in fellowship and in unity (though we all have our differences too) in one heart after God.
Connections like these uplift, encourage, and convict – in right and needed ways.
Why can we connect so? How are we able?
Only because of and through Him who provides the connection.
God Himself connected with us when He created us, choosing to love us unconditionally and far more than we can imagine in this life.
God Himself connected with us when He offered His grace and redemption – and continues to offer it freely, undeservedly, lovingly.

It’s this connection – this personal connection with Him – that even makes other connections possible. A friend. A spouse. A parent and child. These connections only grow (and stay firm) when grown out of the Root, the Connector. His connection which nothing can tear us away from.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39

Question for you: How do you stay connected to Him and fellow believers?
